Most drought tolerant/resistant plants need to be established first, watering them for 3-4 years during their youth.

Deciduous trees drop their leaves in the fall and go dormant during cold weather. When the weather warms, deciduous trees produce new leaves.

A shrub or bush is a small- to medium-sized woody plant.  A subshrub or dwarf shrub is a short woody plant.
